Things To Learn From

Keep title short and straight

wedding photographyThe first thing that you need to learn about when you are just starting out with your blog from sites like is that the title should be short and straight to the point. There is another venue or place for you to be flowy and elaborate with your words, there is always the content body of the blog for that. The title is a completely different ball game though. You need the title to be short, fast, and efficient. When you are in the process of writing up your title for the blog entry, make it a point to think about the top 3 most important info about it and try to squeeze that in the title line with the fewest words possible, if you can help it. One good rule to help keep you in check when you are writing up a wedding feature blog entry is to include the name, the date, and the venue/location. This is a formula that has worked for other more successful sites. This is one that is bound to work for you the right way as well. Always keep this formula in mind whenever you find yourself stumped for the blog entry title that you are trying to write up.

Work on a format when you are writing up your content body.

This will make things so much easier for you to check things out and progress in your writing. You might not be able to write in the same caliber as with sites like but you will get better at it eventually. One of the best formats that you could work with is the format that is being used when you are writing a feature article. You might not be well versed with this just yet but there are lots and lots of sources on the internet that will show you a thing or two when it comes to how you should write up a certain article or blog entry. Make it a point to include a supporting note or idea in every paragraph that comes after the main introductory paragraph, just to keep the revolving topic relevant and so that you do not end up boring your blog readers somewhere in the process. Writing is something that you learn bit by bit. If you do not become an expert on it overnight, or even a month after you have been having a go at it, there is no reason for you to be upset about it.

Tag images in your blog

You also need to go through the extra effort of properly tagging the images that put up in your blog. Don’t be lazy when it comes to tagging your images because although it may mean that you will need to put in a little something extra on your end, it is something that will allow your images to be indexed by Google, boosting their chances of getting searched up by users. Once a user search matches up with the description in your image, the user will surely be able to pull that up and will eventually be lead to your particular blog side. Be careful though and make sure that you don’t overdo it. Google might tag you your entries as spam if you do.

Event Photographer Tidbits of Info You Should Know

As an event photographer, you need to make sure that you get to blend in with the rest of the crowd.

event photography tipsThis sounds so simple when you first hear it or think about it but an experienced and veteran event photographer will tell you that there is actually so much more to this than meets the eye. Your dress code or the way that you dress yourself up as an event photographer is just the start of your strategy. There are other things that you will have to do in order to make sure that you do not end up attracting attention to yourself and to make sure that you do not get noticed all that much. You need to look ordinary enough not to be paid attention to but at the same time, you need to look sharp and prim to come off looking professional and so that you do not end up looking shabby during the event that you are shooting as an event photographer. You need to hit just the right balance and come up with just the perfect recipe at the end of the day. Call the clients up so that you are looped in when it comes to the dress code required of the guests. Try to follow through and make good on that dress code because it will make you feel less awkward as an event photographer during the event.

Avoid using flash photography unless you absolutely have to.

This is mainly because flash tends to attract attention. If you are trying to sneak in a candid shot, you can say goodbye to your hopes of successive shots after the first click because the flash will most certainly give you away right off the bat as an event photographer. If natural light is an option, then you should go ahead and use it. There are also other steadier light sources such as strobes or stave units but they tend to attract attention as well. Just opt for flash photography if you are dealing with really poor lighting and it would not be possible for you to take great looking pictures without it. You need to know what your lighting situation will turn out to be as an event photographer so that you can prepare all of the right gear you will be needing well ahead of time.

Keep your equipment minimal.

Put the rest of the heavy equipment down if you don’t need them during that particular moment. Clunky equipment can give you away. It can also be problematic for you as an event photographer because it is something that can really impede your movements during the event and you certainly would not want that. Put the rest of your gear down in your work corner and only carry what you absolutely have to during that particular time. If there is no need for you to carry around 3 extra lenses, then don’t. Keep things simple so that you don’t end up being too stressed out about it.
